SPRING Prealgebra 1 (VIRTUAL)

Pre-algebra prepares students for the rigors of algebra while teaching problem-solving techniques to prepare them for prestigious middle school math contests and real life scenarios.

This course is taught in 3 semesters. It begins in September with advanced Number Theory problems. These concepts overlap through the Winter Semester and are followed by advanced manipulations with fractions and decimals. The program concludes in the Spring Semester with algebraic equations and inequalities and further development of advanced problem-solving skills.

In addition, students prepare for and participate in Math Olympiad, MOEM competitions for grades 6-8. MOEM is given online in Zoya’s virtual class and in person in Glen Rock by our long-time student’s father Yuksel SEZGIN. We give MOEM 5 times a year: every 3rd week of November, December, January, February, and March.

Completion of homework is encouraged and verified weekly in class.

This class with Eugene runs both in-person and virtually!
